Pictures of the Year International
Pictures of the Year International is pleased to invite you to enter the 65th annual photojournalism competition — the world's oldest and one of the most prestigious.
The POYi online registration and entry process is now open at www.poyi.org. A complete “Call for Entries” is posted on our website that provides details of the contest categories and guidelines. This year we have provided a summary of the categories in both Spanish and Chinese languages. Also the “File Naming and Uploading Guide” provides step-by-step specifics on how to enter.
The mission of Pictures of the Year International is to recognize excellence in documentary photography and photojournalism, within both still and motion formats. When you enter POYi, your work becomes a part of visual history. Now in its 65th year, POYi is important because it is a living and a valuable archive. More than 39,000 photographs have been selected as the best pictures from each year, 1943 to now.
You are invited to submit your entire entry through an efficient online process — from preparation, to registration, to uploading all your images, including entry fee payment. Once you are at our website at www.poyi.org, simply click the highlighted “Entry Site” link located at the top of our Home page.
The deadline for entries to be received online is Friday, January 18. If you have questions or need clarification, please email us at info@poyi.org.
